NORTHERN LIGHT, a new super project featuring Fergie Frederiksen

MTM news 13.04.2005 NORTHERN LIGHT finished the recordings for the debut album!

NORTHERN LIGHT is a new super project from the Norwegian guitar player /
songwriter Tor Talle. After being a session player and writing music for
television, documentary, webmovies and other artists, Tor felt the need to
go back to his melodic rock roots.

Tor finished the recordings for his first AOR album of NORTHERN LIGHT
featuring:
Vocals: Fergie Frederiksen (ex-TOTO, MECCA), Kimmo Blom (URBAN TALE,
HEARTPLAY), Tony Mills (SHY), Peter Sundell (GRAND ILLUSION), Rob Moratti
(FINAL FRONTIER), Mikael Erlandsson (LAST AUTUMN`S DREAM), Persa (AFTER
EIGHT)
Guitars: Tor Talle
Keyboards: Fredrik Bergh (STREET TALK), Egil Orvedal, Tor Talle
Bass: Rune Gandrud, Roger Allan Ivin, Tor Talle
Drums: Jango Nilsen

Tor Talle: "I'm so excited about this project and I can`t wait to release
the album. I`m really happy with the songs and I got some amazing singers
with me on this album. It's a honor and a privilege to work with Fergie
Frederiksen, Tony Mills, Peter Sundell and Kimmo Blom. I have written most
of the songs myself, but some are co-written with Jorn Lande, Fredrik Bergh
(STREET TALK), Terje Eide, Peter Sundell and Kimmo Blom. So all of you
AOR-lovers, I hope you are ready for some classic melodic AOR from Norway!"

The release is scheduled for June 06th.

Fonda Feingold / "Before and After"

Fonda Feingold must be one of the under-rated singer-songwriter of late 70's. Fonda released her solo debut album entitled "Fonda Feingold" for Polygram (Mercury) in 1978 featuring David Lasley and Arnold McCuller on background vocals.

Unfortunately Fonda's critically acclaimed album was shelved along with a lot of other great music of its time. Honestly speaking, I have not been aware how Fonda's 1978 album was really excellent "light and mellow" vocal album before Fonda contacted me a few years ago by e-mail. Once I got her 1978 album through the famous e-bay, I have been waiting for her come-back album release. For your information, you can also find her name as a keyboard player on your familiar albums including Paul Davis' 1980 self-title album.

And now in April 2005, Fonda Feingold contacted me again with the great news regarding her self-producing new CD release. This brand-new CD entitled "Beofre and After" is now available through Tower Records and CD Baby. Why don't you try to listen to soundclips now by clinking below link?

BLANC FACES

Frontiers Records unleashes all details behind the new AOR sensation BLANC FACES!

Launched via a successful promotion on the world-renowned website www.melodicrock.com - through a successful “mystery band download” competition - BLANC FACES drawn fans’ comparisons to the sound of Foreigner, Unruly Child, Magnum, Pride of Lions and several other top AOR bands.

The truth behind this AOR newcomer is that BLANC FACES are a duo former by brothers Robbie and Brian La Blanc. They are a new and dynamic melodic rock group based in the U.S. (New York and Connecticut area). Their harmonies are unsurpassed and focal to their sound and style. Robbie is lead vocalist and plays rhythm guitar. Brian sings background and plays the bass. They write, produce and engineer their own music, with the help of a talented team of musicians and artists, including, on this project, Kyle Woodring (Dennis DeYoung/Styx; Survivor; John Mellencamp) on drums, with additional drum tracks by Tony Archer, Jeff Batter (Cannata) on keyboards and Butch Taylor on lead guitar.

The self titled debut CD is being mixed by Dennis Ward and will be released worldwide on Frontiers Records on July 6th 2005 with a Japanese release via King Records. More details to be announced shortly !

AIRPLAY 25th Anniversary album reissue in late July!

The bible album for AOR/Westcoast music lovers will be reissued this summer!
Here is the information from Kerstin Olofsson, SVP of Sonic Thrust Records:

an AIRPLAY 25th Anniversary album - David Foster's and Jay Graydon's
masterpiece - the album all westcoast music fans refer to as the BIBLE -
will now be re-issued by BMG Japan in late July!!! The first batch of the
AIRPLAY 25th Anniversary album will be a limited paper jacket (mini LP
style) format. After the first issue is sold out, there will be a normal
jewel case type released.

For the first time all backing musicians' credits for each song will be noted.

In the booklet there will also be an interview with Jay Graydon and David

interviewed them both on March 24, 2005, at David's mansion in Malibu. An
