Larry John McNally two new albums "Folksinger" & "BQE"

2 penned songs "A Man In A Man's World" and "Sleep On It" recorded by Chaka Kahn for her solo debut album in 1978 opened the door to Larry John McNally as a recording artist with ARC Records. Thus, Larry John McNally's career began in 1981 with the release of his debut album "Larry John McNally". Soon After his debut album had released, ARC Records stopped their business and we had waited for his 2nd album "Fade To Black" produced by Gary Katz and himself until 1986. His 3rd album ""VIBROLUX" took 9 years since then to be released under Pioneer LDC, Japan. He continues to record and perform both as a solo artist and with his trio in clubs and concert venues from Tokyo to Kokomo. LJM's own recordings are coveted treasures among his devotees and delightful finds for those who happen upon them for the first time. They are filled with songs of passion, angst, city lights, and more, all with the unique ability to create both an aural as well as visual cinematic-like impression.

Larry John McNally has released two brand-new solo albums at the same time in 2009! The first one is "Folksinger", a blend of introspective songwriting and an R&B feel. Guitars, accordion, mandolin, tambourine, 12 string guitar and the B3 organ. This is a special limited edition, signed, 26 page DVD sized booklet, printed on watercolor paper and available only for a limited time until the jewel box CD is printed. The CD includes 11 brand new songs with Larry John McNally's blend of Folk-Hendrix meets 60's Folk/Rock. A fresh modern interpretation of the songwriter as folksinger. With McNally's usual dose of heart and soul.

Another one "BQE" is the first instrumental album from Larry John McNally. McNally is probably best known as a singer/songwriter whose songs have been recorded by The Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, Aaron Neville and many others. "Instrumental" may not be the most accurate description of this music. This album features ambient guitar based instrumentals with wordless vocals, which is somewhere between Pat Metheny and Brian Eno. A number of these tracks have been featured in films, including "Mia Bella" in the Iraq war documentary, "The Ground Truth." This CD package is a special 18 page, signed, limited edition, DVD sized package, custom printed on watercolor paper. Another first here is the inclusion of 13 pages of artwork by LJM. The cover and additional artwork were designed by the renowned old school screen print masters, Hatch Show Print in Nashville.

Peter Allen "Not The Boy Next Door" Remastered Reissue

Now, we have a miniature LP type paper sleeve reissue from Peter Allen featuring JVC K2 24bit remastering. The album "Not The Boy Next Door"  Peter Allen, Australian songwriter and entertainer, is well-known for the fact that he co-wrote the song "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" with Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager, and Christopher Cross. As a solo singer, Allen took his stage act to Broadway, appearing in his own show, Up in One, More Than a Concert. His 1980 A&M album "Bi-Coastal" produced by David Foster, with a single "Fly Away", must be one of the AOR/West Coast masterpiece albums. "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" topped the charts for Christopher Cross in the fall of 1981 and won Allen and his fellow songwriters the Academy Award for best song. In 1983, Allen released this album "Not the Boy Next Door". The album is opened by "Just Another Make Out Song" co-written by David Foster. Besides David Foster, Tom Keane, Tom Snow,Eric Katz, and Carloe Bayer Seger dedicated their songwriting talents for this album. And L.A. first-call studio musicians including Vince Colaiuta and Russell Ferrante gathered to record this album. As widely known, Peter Allen died of complications from AIDS in 1992.

PETER FRIESTEDT presents LA PROJECT LIVE in Sweden coming March

Guitarist, composer and producer Peter Friestedt just recently released his new album ”LA Project II”, an album where singers like Joseph Williams (Toto), Bill Champlin (Chicago), Michael Ruff and Lou Pardini (Koinonia) participates.  Around the release date two live shows was made before an enthusiastic Swedish audience. The first of these was recorded by Swedish National Radio and has since been broadcasted twice! One of the shows took place in Stockholm and there Peter and his band were guested by none other than Tommy Funderburk (Airplay) and Bill Maxwell (Koinonia).

On this upcoming tour American singer and former Toto lead vocalist Joseph Williams will be a part of the band, Joseph was a member of Toto on the albums ”Fahrenheit” and ”The Seventh One” and was a big part on hits like ”I’ll Be Over You”, ”Pamela” and ”Stop Loving You".

In the band is also American singer Lou Pardini (Koinonia), he recently toured with legendary band Chicago and he is also the composer of world wide hits from artists like Smokey Robinson and Patti Austin.

Stefan Gunnarsson, a famous TV personality in Sweden and a marvellous musician is also in the band, he has also been Peter’s side-kick during the recordings of the new album.

The rhythm section is not totally set in stone yet, but on the previous ones there has been only top notch musician’s and you can rest assure that the best musician’s available will be part of this tour.

Prepare yourself for a fantastic mix of jazz, soul and pop spiced up with a wide range of well known tunes from the members past and present musical treasure!

Player will come back with the brand-new album this year!

In September 2008, Moss and Beckett’s Player performed live at the 13th Annual Drive n’ Surf Redondo Beach Lobster Festival, southern California. Since then, many of us are expecting the refromation of the band. Now in February 2009, we are very pleased to know that Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss are restarting their legendary band "PLAYER" this year! Both entertainers work very hard making time from their busy schedules to perform. They will be producing a new CD as Player this year . Reportedly, both guys have signed to Coallier Entertainment for the upcoming album.

  Peter Beckett has just announced as follows;  "Due to the great response to the recent Swiffer campaign and the many movies that have featured "Baby Come Back" of late, Myself and Ronn have decided to step up the pace with Player. We have been doing the odd gigs here and there, but with the recent signing to Coallier Entertainment we have put a killer band together and are more than ready to hit the road once again in 2009. A new Player CD will be forthcoming along with new video and photos of the new group."
